Zurampic is a drug indicated for the treatment of gout, which helps reduce uric acid levels in the blood.
This drug has in its composition Lesinurad, a compound that works by reducing the amount of uric acid in the blood, thus preventing the accumulation of urate crystals around the joints.
Typically, the recommended dose is one 200 mg tablet once a day in the early morning.
Zurampic tablets should be swallowed whole, with a glass of water and food.
Some of Zurampic’s side effects may include flu, headache, changes in blood tests, heartburn, kidney stones or dehydration.
This medicine is indicated in patients with tumour lysis syndrome, Lesch-Nyhan syndrome, kidney problems, end-stage renal failure or who have undergone a kidney transplant or dialysis and for patients allergic to any of the ingredients of the formula.
Also, if you are pregnant or breast-feeding, have lactose intolerance or have another health problem, you should talk to your doctor before starting treatment.
