Trabectidine is a cancer medicine that works by preventing the process of multiplying tumor cells and is therefore used as a chemotherapy treatment in certain cancers.
Trabectidine’s trade name is Yondelis, but it cannot be purchased from conventional pharmacies because it can only be used in the hospital to inject directly into the vein.

The main side effects of trabectidine include weight loss, low blood pressure, diarrhea, stomach pain, acidity, hair loss, muscle pain, excessive fatigue and joint pain.
Trabectidine is contraindicated in lactating women and patients with recurrent or uncontrolled infections, in addition, it should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to trabectidine or any other component of the formula.
