- Topiramate is indicated for the treatment of epilepsy in adults and children under 6 years of age when administered alone or in children over 2 years of age in combination with other medicines.
It is also used for the treatment of seizures associated with Lennox-Gastaut syndrome and for the prophylactic treatment of migraine.
Treatment should begin with a low dose, which should increase gradually, until the dose is reached.
