Synvisc is an injection to be applied to joints containing hyaluronic acid which is a viscous liquid, similar to the synovial fluid naturally produced by the body to ensure good lubrication of the joints.

This medicine may be recommended by the rheumatologist or orthopedist when the person has a decrease in synovial fluid in certain joints, in addition to clinical and physiotherapeutic treatment and its effect lasts about 6 months.
