Siméprevir

Simeprevir is an antiviral drug indicated for the treatment of hepatitis C, along with other medicines such as ribavirin. The mechanism of action of this drug is to inhibit the growth and multiplication of the hepatitis C virus, a chronic disease, leading to an improvement in symptoms of the disease in individuals.

Simeprevir is produced by Janssen Pharmaceutica’s lab.

Simeprevir is indicated for the treatment of hepatitis C in combination with ribavirin or peginterferon.

“The way to use Siméprevir is to take 1 150 mg capsule, once daily, with or without food, for 12 weeks.

Side effects of simeprevir may include redness of the skin, sensitivity to the sun, muscle pain, shortness of breath, nausea and itching.

Simeprevir is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to one of the components of the formula, pregnant or lactating women.
