Podophylline is an anti-war drug, containing podofilotoxin as an active substance, extracted from two plants, Podophyllum emodi and Podophyllum peltatum.
This medicine is for topical use, but should be handled with caution due to the high likelihood of irritation of healthy tissues. The use of podophiline orally can damage the central nervous system and cause death.
