Phosphomycin is an antibiotic used to treat urinary tract infections, such as acute or recurrent cystitis, painful bladder syndrome, urethritis, bacteriuria during asymptomatic pregnancy and to treat or prevent urinary tract infections that occur after surgery or medical interventions.
Phosphomycin is available generically or under the trade name Monuril, which can be purchased from pharmacies with the presentation of a prescription.
