Pamidoronate is the active ingredient in an antihypercalcamic drug known commercially as Aredia.
This injectable drug is indicated for Paget’s disease, osteolysis because it inhibits bone resorption by various mechanisms, mitigating symptoms of diseases.
- Paget’s bone disease; hypercalcemia (associated with neoplasm) osteolysis (induced by a breast tumor or myeloma).
