Myoneural syndrome

Myoneural stress syndrome or myositis stress syndrome is a disease that causes chronic pain due to muscle tension caused by suppression of emotional and psychological stress.

In mioneural stress syndrome, unconscious emotional problems such as anger, fear, resentment, or anxiety create tension in the autonomous nervous system that inhibits blood flow to muscles, nerves, and connective tissue, causing pain.

Pain is not only limited to the back, where it is most common, but also to other parts of the body. Some patients with tension myositis syndrome have chronic arm pain, headaches and jaws, fibromyalgia or irritable bowel syndrome.

Pain can be moderate to severe in intensity and often travels from one part of the body to another. Some people experience temporary relief from symptoms after the holidays, indicating myositis stress syndrome.

Treatment of myoneural stress syndrome has two components: psychological and physical.

In psychological treatment, patients are advised to use various techniques to identify and minimize/eliminate emotional problems that cause symptoms of myoneural stress syndrome:

Treatment of physical symptoms of myositis tension syndrome, such as pain, stiffness, numbness or fatigue, involves taking pain relievers, physical therapy, or massages.

Good diet, exercise, elimination of lifestyle habits such as smoking, alcoholism and drugs help reduce the emotional effects on the body, eliminating some of the symptoms present in tension syndrome of myositis.
