Start treatment with 0. 2 mg moxonidine in a single daily dose. The dose should be adjusted every 3 weeks, until the dose of 0. 4 mg is reached in a single morning dose or divided into 2 doses (morning and night). Some patients may need a dose of up to 0. 6 mg a day, in which case the dose should be divided into two doses.
