Indinavir (Crixivan)

Crixivanm, the trade name of the active ingredient Indinaviré, is an antiretroviral that works by inhibiting the virus’s production of an enzyme responsible for the maturation of the virus, thus producing immature and non-infectious viral particles.

This oral medicinal product should be taken on an empty date one hour before or two hours after meals.

This medicine is indicated for the treatment of HIV and AIDS infection.

The use of the medicine should be indicated by the doctor and the recommended dose is 800 mg, orally, which should be taken every 8 hours.

Indinavir can cause abdominal pain, headache, nausea, asymptomatic hyperbilirubinemia and nephrolithiasis.

The drug Indinavir is contraindicated during pregnancy, lactation, hypersensitivity to protease inhibitors and in cases of severe liver disease.
