The method of using Hirudoid is to apply a layer of ointment or gel to the entire extent of the affected area, rubbing, 3 to 4 times a day or more, as medically indicated.
Side effects of Hirudoid are rare and consist of minor allergic reactions in the skin of the area where the ointment was applied.
Hirudoid is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the formula components, open wounds or application in areas such as eyes or mucous membranes.
