The generic of novalgin is the sodium dipirone, which is the main component of this drug from the Sanofi-Aventis laboratory. The sodium dipirona, in its generic version, is also manufactured by several pharmaceutical companies such as Medley, Eurofarma, EMS, Neo Qu- mica.
The generic novalgin is indicated as analgesic and antipyretic and comes in the form of tablets, suppositoriums or solution for injection.
Pain and fever
Patients with hypersensitivity to dipirone or any of the ingredients of the formula, pregnant, nursing, asthma, 6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency, children under 3 months or less, children under 4 years (suppository), children under 1 year (intravenous), porphyria, allergic reaction to medications, allergy to pyrazolon derivatives, chronic respiratory infection.
Haematological reactions (white blood cell reduction), low transient pressure, skin manifestations (eruption) may occur. In isolated cases, Stevens-Johnson syndrome or Lyell syndrome.
