If you have gastritis or ulcer, your diet should be based on natural foods, rich in fruits, vegetables and whole foods, and low on industrialized and processed products such as sausages, frying and soft drinks.
This diet facilitates the digestion process, causing food to pass quickly through the stomach, preventing the excessive release of stomach acid, causing a worsening of acidity, pain and any ulcers.
Foods allowed in a gastritis diet are those that are easy to digest and low in fat, such as:

There are foods that are more difficult to digest and highly processed, so it is advisable to avoid them because they are rich in additives and preservatives that irritate the stomach, such as:
Also, whole milk and sour fruits like lemon, orange, and pineapple should also be avoided if symptoms of heartburn or stomach pain appear after ingesting them.
The gastritis diet follows the same rules but has many variations, depending on each patient’s tolerance, so the above list is just a guide. In addition, if gastritis occurs mainly during times of stress or tension, it can be a sign of stress-induced gastritis.
The following table is an example of a 3-day diet to treat gastritis and ulcers:
Watermelon juice 1 slice of wholemeal bread with ricotta and an egg
1 cup decaffeinated coffee 2 scrambled eggs with soft cheese 2 slices papaya
Strawberry shake with skim milk 1 slice of soft cheese bread
1 apple 5 cashews
1 banana, crushed with 1 tablespoon oatmeal
1 glass of green juice
4 tablespoons chicken breast with roasted vegetables with brown rice and tomato sauce
1 roasted fish fillet with potato, tomato, onion and a splash of olive oil
Wholemeal pasta with chicken breast and green salad pesto sauce
Whole milk yogurt 1 tablespoon honey 1 tablespoon oatmeal
Papaya shake with Skim Milk
Decaffeinated coffee 2 slices wholemeal bread with ricotta and an egg
A good option for your morning or evening snack is to eat baked or boiled fruit.
Preparation: Place 6 apples or 6 pears arranged side by side on a baking sheet and add 3/4 cup water. Bake for 30 minutes or until fruit is tender. You can add 1 cinnamon stick in the center of the apple or pear. to make them tastier.
Fresh gelatin is a good dessert choice for main meals
Preparation: Add 1 packet of unflavoured gelatin to a 200 ml glass of pure grape juice and refrigerate for about 2 hours.
Fish broth is an excellent choice for a light dinner and should not be consumed too hot.
