Chromoglycic is the active ingredient in antiallergic medications used in asthma prevention, which can be administered orally, nasally or ophthalmically.
It is available in pharmacies generically or under the trade names Cromolerg or Intal. Maxicron or Rilan are similar medications.
Prevention of bronchial asthma; Bronchospasm
Oral: bad taste of the mouth; coughing up shortness of breath nausea irritation or dry throat sneezing nasal congestion.
Nasal: burning; needles or sneezing nose irritation.
Ophthalmic: burn or puncture in the eye
Risk of pregnancy B; acute asthma attack; allergic rhinitis; seasonal allergic conjunctivitis; spring keratitis; spring conjunctivitis; kerato conjunctivitis.
Orally
Adults and children over 2 years (nebulization): to prevent asthma 2 inhalations of 15 minutes / 4 times a day at intervals of 4 to 6 hours.
Spray
Adults and children over 5 years of age (asthma prevention): 2 inhalations 4 times daily at 6-hour intervals.
Nasal conduit
Adults and children over 6 years of age (prevention and treatment of allergic rhinitis): 2% spray performs 2 applications in each nostril 3 or 4 times a day, the spray 4% performs 1 application in each nostril 3 or 4 times a day.
Ophthalmic use
Adults and children over 4 years: 1 drop in the conjunctival bag 4 to 6 times a day.
