Adalgur N is a drug indicated for the treatment of mild to moderate pain, in addition to the treatment of painful muscle contractions or acute episodes related to the spine. This drug has in its composition 500 mg of acetaminophen and 2 mg of thiocolchicose, which are active substances with analgesic action and muscle relaxant, respectively.
Adalgur N is available in boxes of 30 and 60 tablets and can be purchased from pharmacies with the presentation of a prescription.
- The dose of Adalgur N must be determined by the doctor.
- The generally recommended dose is 1 to 2 tablets.
- 3 or 4 times a day.
- With a glass of water.
- Without exceeding 8 tablets a day.
The duration of treatment should not exceed 7 days, unless your doctor recommends longer treatment.
Adalgur N should not be used by people with hypersensitivity to acetaminophen, thiocolchicoside or any other component present in the formulation.
It should also not be used in pregnant women, women wishing to become pregnant or lactating, children under 16 years of age, people with severe liver disease, flaccid paralysis, muscle hypotonia or kidney problems.
Adalgur N should not be used with medicines such as aspirin, salicylates or nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.
Adverse effects that may occur during treatment with Adalgur N are rare, however, in some cases, angioedema, allergic skin reactions, blood disorders, drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, pancreatitis, fever, hypoglycemia, jaundice, stomach pain and diarrhea may occur.
