Acetylsalyclic acid is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the components of the formula during pregnancy and lactation, and in cases of viral fever in children and adolescents It should not be used in haemophiliac patients, a history of allergy to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, the presence of ulcers or bleeding.
Patients with asthma should be careful, as aspirin may worsen narrowing of the bronchi.
